Accordingly, on 16th of March 2026, the Civil Aviation Agency, at the proposal of the Planica Organizing Committee, issued a decision establishing a temporary reserved airspace area. As a result, all aircraft operations in the event area in Planica are restricted, including unmanned aircraft (drones), ultralight flying devices, powered model aircraft, parachutes, paragliders, hang gliders, and hot air balloons, within the uncontrolled airspace of the Republic of Slovenia, from ground level up to a maximum altitude of 5,000 feet above mean sea level (AMSL).
The flight restriction applies during the following time intervals:
March 25th 2026: 09.00 – 13.00
March 26th 2026: 07.00 – 15.00
March 27th 2026: 08.00 – 18.00
March 28th 2026: 07.00 – 18.00
March 29th 2026: 08.00 – 14.00
The restriction does not apply to aircraft operating with the consent of the event organizer for the purposes of the event, nor to aircraft of the Slovenian Armed Forces and the Police. All details are available in the published notice (NOTAM) on the website: http://www.sloveniacontrol.si
All visitors and airspace users are therefore requested to strictly comply with these restrictions. Compliance will be monitored in cooperation with the Police. It is essential to recognize that the safety of all event participants is the top priority, and the organizers are dedicating the highest level of attention to this.
